The primary objectives of the Environmental/Radon section is to encourage the dissemination of information among environmental radiation protection and radon professionals and improve public understanding of the problems and needs in protection of members of the public from the health effects of exposure to radon and radon progeny and other radionuclides disseminated in the environment.


The Section also encourages research in environmental radiation protection, promotes excellence in the practice of environmental radiation protection, and provides a conduit for communication among Section members and with the Health Physics Society.
