The Health Physics Society is a scientific and professional organization
whose members specialize in occupational and environmental radiation safety. The
primary purpose of the Society is to support its members in the practice of
their profession.
The CCHPS covers Western Oregon and Western Washington, covering the area between Eugene Oregon to
Seattle Washington. The Members are in radiation protection or related fields, from universities,
hospitals, government, research and business.
This Chapter's primary objectives are:
- Encourage the diessemination of information between individuals
- Improve public understanding of radiation
- Provide open lines of communication between radiation professionals

- Next Chapter Meeting: Annual E. Dale Trout Meeting:
The annual E. Dale Trout Meeting will be held May 8th, 2009, at the LaSells Stewart Center at Oregon State University in Corvallis, OR.
Come to the meeting to hear student presentations and the HPS President-Elect.
If you don't know who E. Dale Trout was, Art Johnson will be providing a brief history lesson at the meeting.
