Getting to Oakland

The Oakland metropolitan area is served by the Oakland International Airport, about 20 minutes from the Oakland Marriott, and by the San Francisco International Airport, which has direct Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) access to Oakland.

Besides using a traditional shuttle bus or taxi from the airports, you can also easily reach the Marriott using the Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) system from either SFO or OAK airports. Advantages of using BART: first, avoiding any potential delays due to traffic problems and - second it is quite inexpensive compared to shuttles or taxis. Here’s how to do it:

Start at:             San Francisco Int'l Airport Station (BART inside International Terminal)
Take:                Dublin/Pleasanton Train
Transfer at:       Balboa Park Station
Take:                Pittsburg/Bay Point Train (same track)
Get off at:         12th Street Oakland City Center Station
Fare:                 $5.40 (each way)

OAKLAND INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT - BART TO OAKLAND MARRIOTT HOTEL

Take:                AirBART Shuttle to Coliseum/Oakland Airport BART Station ($3.00 each way)
Take:                Richmond Train
Get off at:         12th Street Oakland City Center Station
