The Health Physics Society is a scientific and professional organization whose members specialize in occupational and environmental radiation safety. The primary purpose of the Society is to support its members in the practice of their profession. The Society also promotes public information preparation and dissemination, education and training opportunities, and scientific information exchange through conferences and meetings and posting current news items.

How to Join
When you join or renew your membership in the Health Physics Society, simply specify the Power Reactor Section and add $5 to your annual membership fee. To join the Power Reactor Section at any other time, contact the
Executive Secretary.
If you are currently not a member of the Health Physics Society, you may apply to join as a Section Only Member. The Power Reactor Section is open to any individual who has substantial interest in the sub-specialty of the Section and meets the requirements of the Section Charter.
Section Members of the Health Physics Society will receive the Newsletter and Membership Handbook, but not the Journal. Section Members do not vote for Health Physics Society Officers, but can vote for Power Reactor Section Officers and hold office in the Section.
You may join by contacting the Executive
Secretary of the society, and once accepted, submit an annual membership fee of $65.
