The other background category consists of the external (space and terrestrial) and internal subcategories [see Table 8.1 for the values of S (person-sievert) and EUS (millisievert)].
The Power Reactor Section presented a Special Session at the Annual Health Physics Society in Minneapolis on July 14, 2009, "Radiation Protection in a Nuclear Power Renaissance". The session was co-chaired by Roger Shaw and Larry Haynes, and included 16 presentations, including talks from those representing NEA/OECD, NEI, EPRI, INPO, NRC, DOE, academia and the nuclear industry.
