The North Carolina Chapter of the Health Physics Society (NCHPS) is a professional organization dedicated to the development, dissemination and application of the scientific knowledge of and practical means for radiation protection.

The objective of the Chapter is the protection of people and the environment of North Carolina from unnecessary exposure to sources of radiation.

The Chapter is thus concerned with understanding, evaluating and controlling the risks from radiation exposure relative to the benefits derived.

NRC Graduate Health Physics Fellowships available for 2007-2008 through Duke Medical Physics Graduate Program

NRC Health Physics Graduate Fellowships are available for graduate students seeking MS and PhD degrees through Duke University Medical Physics Graduate Program. Any interested current and future students should contact Terry Yoshizumi, Health Physics Track Director (yoshi003@mc.duke.edu).
