Next US Particle Accelerator School in Houston, Texas
The next US Particle Accelerator School (USPAS) program will be held from January 15-26, 2007, in Houston, Texas. One undergraduate-level and eleven graduate-level credit courses will be offered in conjunction with Texas A&M University. This session will offer several courses on linear collider physics including a special lecture by Barry Barish, director of the International Linear Collider's (ILC's) Global Design Effort (GDE). Also of special interest is the course, “Managing Science in Research Laboratories.” This course is designed to develop management skills for principal investigators and first-line managers through upper-middle managers.
