Do You Know Your 3 R's? Radiation, Radioactivity and Radon
An Integrated Science Curriculum Module for Grades 7-10

In cooperation with the Colorado Dept. of Public Health and Environment and the
Environmental Protection Agency (Region VIII), the Colorado School of Mines has created a unique curriculum module to educate young people about radiation.

The Do You Know Your 3R's module is an integrated science curriculum that
addresses the physical sciences, the earth sciences, and the life sciences.
Each of the activities in the module has been aligned with the Colorado
Model Content Standards for Science, in addition to incorporating a number
of mathematics, geography, and writing standards. Teacher Resource Kits
containing all of the materials necessary to successfully teach the
activities in the classroom have been assembled and are available to trained
teachers.
