What's there to do in Washington?
Washington is very similar to Oregon. One freeway going north and south (I-5), and one going east and west… ok, going east (I-84). There are mountains down the middle of the state (cascades), along with lots of scenic beauty on both the wetter western side and the dry eastern side.
One of the major differences between Oregon and Washington are the Puget Sound, going 120 miles from Olympia up to Bellingham. This huge inland body of saltwater is open to the Ocean, but is more than a bay. Washington also has several national parks, wonderful wine country, a large DOE facility, Apple and Cherry growing areas, not to mention of course, Seattle. So, hiking, biking, fishing, wine and fruit, the amazing San Juan Islands and seeing orca, and the arts in Seattle.
